The Valley of the Tortoises wildlife park is located at Sorède in the South of France and is home to over 500 living tortoises from more than thirty different species. Some are endemic to the region while others are from other continents in the world.
Come and admire one of the largest land tortoises, such as the beautiful Giant Seychelles Tortoise or the Radiated Tortoise of Madagascar, or come in close proximity to one of the most dangerous species, such as the Waspish tortoise or Alligator tortoise!
You will also encounter the very strange Matamata tortoise, the belligerent Sulcata tortoise, the lovely Hermann and Greek tortoise and many others...

Visitors can enjoy guided tours or visit the grounds at their leisure. Information signs in French, English and Spanish line the walking route. Booklets in German and Catalan are also available at the Welcome Centre.
