On the Road of the Heureuse Valley …
One site, two concepts for a raid at turtles speed.

La Vallée des Tortues à SOREDE

By the end of the 90's, some Catalans originally from Ille sur Tet, after a long way round the department, found the Heureuse Valley near the village of Sorede. They decided that there and no where else their dream will get true.
It’s there in this mini heaven on herth , at the bottom of the Alberes, in between …, at the heart of luxury nature by a calme river. It’s there, that with the aknoledge of the village of Sorede, they designed le limits of an animal park not like the others , because entirely dedided to turtles. Turtle is for whom, at once a well known and wild animal, that inspires legends and mystery.

After a long course of obstacles, the Valley of the Tortoises opens its doors in 2000. Nine years later, thanks to his team, to its actions, lived sound, thanks to the authenticity of its commitment in the defence of this extraordinary and fascinating animal, the Tortoises' Valley become - with the massif of the Moors in the Var, and Corsica - one of the last European sanctuaries of chéloniens in general and the tortoise of " Hermann " more specifically.

La Vallée des Tortues

Today, in a privileged environment constructed all around and from water, sun and ground, the Tortoises' Valley stretches on 2.5 hectares. It shelters some 500 tortoises representing around thirty species, from the smallest to the monumental and well known tortoises of Seychelles.

The Tortoises' Valley has to be visit, deciphers, livens up, discover, it lives at the rate of nature's vibrations and its inhabitants.
The team , is alwayas at your disposal to answer to your question and tell you some beautifull stories about the tortoies of the park.
You can always see these tortoises who roam, who come to remind you that you are in their home place. On their road. Or on their tracks. Moreover, every summer's day, in the Valley near 16 hours, the "fretful" tortoise comes to rub himself to the public. Watch out!
